Pray for Maine Sunday

September 20th, 2026

Across Maine, churches will come together on Pray for Maine Sunday to pray for our state and encourage Christians to faithfully engage the communities God has placed them in.

We’re inviting your church to join us.

Participating churches are encouraged to engage in two simple ways:

PRAY & CHALLENGE
Take a few minutes during your Sunday service to pray specifically for Maine and challenge your congregation to consider why faithful civic engagement matters. Encourage believers to pray faithfully, vote biblically, and engage courageously.

This could be a five-minute challenge from the pulpit, a short video provided by the League, or an entire sermon.

EQUIP & ENGAGE
Take the next step by giving people an opportunity after the service to register to vote, request an absentee ballot, or learn how they can serve and engage in their community.

The Christian Civic League of Maine will provide participating churches with resources, tools, and guidance to make it simple.

Pray for Maine Sunday is not about promoting a political party or political personality. It is about praying for our state, stewarding our responsibility, loving our neighbors, and bringing biblical truth, wisdom, courage, and hope into every corner of Maine.

Will your church stand with churches across Maine?

For the sake of our state. For the advancement of the Kingdom. For His great name.
